Years of potential life lost
YPLL (or PYLL,YLL)

Used to measure premature mortality.  The reference age is set at 75 years and is used to calculate an estimate of the number of extra years they would have lived had they not died prematurely. For example, someone who died at 50 years old would have 25 years of life lost, whereas someone who died at 25 would have 50 years of life lost.
